DESCRIPTION

The TPS54226 is a adaptive on-time D-CAP2TMmode synchronous buck converter. TheTPS54226enables system designers to complete the suite ofvarious end equipment's power bus regulators with acost effective, low component count, low standbycurrent solution. The main control loop for theTPS54226 uses the D-CAP2TM mode control whichprovides a fast transient response with no externalcompensation components. The adoptive on-timecontrol supports seamless operation between PWMmode at heavy load condition and reduced frequencyEco-Moderm operation at light load for high efficiencyThe TPS54226 also has a proprietary circuit thatenables the device to adopt to both low equivalentseries resistance (ESR) output capacitors, such asPOSCAP or SP-CAP，and ultra-low ESR ceramiccapacitors. The device operates from 4.5-V to 18-VVCC input, and from 2-V to 18-V VIN input powersupply voltage. The output voltage can beprogrammed between 0.76 V and 5.5 V. The devicealso features an adjustable slow start time and apower good function. The TPS54226 is available inthe 14 pin HTSSOP or 16 pin QFN package, anddesigned to operate from -40°C to 85°C.
